Admission to the Yuma Hamfest is $10.00, payable at the event at the admissions table just outside the Theater Building. Pre-registration just to attend the event is not required. Children 12 and under are admitted free. You will receive a wristband to indicate you have registered (keep the wristband on you; it's good for the weekend). By registering, you become eligible to win a very valuable admission prize. Parking is free.
Tailgating fees are for the entire weekend. Most tailgaters who are not camping will be placed on the large concrete pad used for that purpose. Tailgaters can opt to be placed in another area of the fairgrounds on an as-available basis. Please note that tailgaters still must pay the admission charge if they want to enter the Theater Building to look at the commercial exhibits or attend the seminars. Important: You are considered a commercial vendor (and not a tailgater) if more than 10% of the items you offer for sale are new.
Commercial vendor fees are for the entire weekend. Vendor booth spaces are 10 ft. x 10 ft. inside the main Theater Building, which includes an 8-foot table and two chairs. Additional tables can be rented on an as-available basis. Commercial vendors can be outside if they choose, but will still be charged vendor rates.
Camping fees are per night. Up to three nights camping (Thursday through Saturday nights) is permitted. Both RV camping and tent camping is permitted. Most camping spaces have electricity, available on a first-come, first-serve basis (see Camping for more information). Most camping spaces are 25 ft. x 40 ft. in size. Camping is permitted starting Thursday afternoon at approximately 2:00 p.m. No campers will be admitted before that time. Our fairgrounds contract requires that all campers must exit the fairgrounds by noon on Sunday. Camping fees and tailgating fees are completely separate. Campers who are also tailgating will be charged tailgating fees in addition to camping fees. If you prefer, you may tailgate right from your camping spot.
Pre-registration is only for vendors, campers and tailgaters. People simply attending the event do not need to register in advance. Vendor booth spaces are subject to availability at time of registration, so pre-registering is highly recommended. Payment is required with pre-registration; no exceptions. Online registration provides for convenient payment with credit cards, debit cards or Paypal. Pre-registration payment may also be made by money order or check, including personal check, using a mail-in registration. The return check penalty is $25.00. Personal checks must clear prior to entrance to the event. Only cash is accepted at the event. Go to Registration to pre-register. Pre-registrations must be received by the deadline date above to receive the discount rate. Tickets for the BBQ dinner are not available in advance and can be purchased at the event.
We understand that life happens. Early registrants may cancel prior to February 1. YARHO's policy is to refund registration fees minus any PayPal transaction fees PayPal keeps. Depending on the type of account the registrant used (i.e. business versus personal), affects the formula that PayPal applies to refunds. In any case, it is YARHO's policy to refund all registration fees minus any funds that PayPal doesn't. It is our experience that when PayPal doesn't refund all transaction fees, it usually isn't significant. It is normally less than a few bucks. We want you to register early so we can properly gauge expected numbers. In that light, we won't penalize you if something comes up. However, PayPal is a different story.
